Fandom Friday #008

What time is it?

Here are my top 5 geeky (well, geeky-ish) things this week:

1) WONDER WOMAN (7 days!!!! Or 6, if you’re like me and have late night tix for Thursday!)

S O O N.

(Not-So-Casual Reminder: Go see the movie IN THEATRES.  Don’t bootleg it.  Throwing buckets of money at Warner-Brothers is the only way to ensure that we get more Wonder Woman.)

2) Daisy Ridley as Ophelia

I had no idea that an Ophelia-centric telling of Hamlet was in the works, but I’m excited now!  I love Daisy Ridley and Tom Felton (he’s Laertes), so I’ll definitely be heading to the theatre to check this out when it’s released.

3) Calgary Horror Con (June 10/11, 2017)

Truth be told, I do love me a scary movie.  I’ve never gone to this con before, but I’m really leaning toward checking it out this year.  It’s fun to check out something new and this year, Horror Con has guests from Hellraiser, Gremlins, and Tales from the Cryptkeeper.  They’re also screening horror shorts, which is A++ in my book.

4) MS Walk – Calgary

2017 is my second year participating in the MS Walk and I’m confident that I’m going to be able to achieve my fundraising goals, thanks to the nerdy twist I put on my fundraising page.

I’ve got something special planned this weekend, for the final push.  Let’s just say, the Force is with me in my quest to help end MS.

5) Bob’s Burgers

Hubs and I are re-watching Bob’s Burgers in preparation for cooking our way through the Bob’s Burgers cookbook.  I love, love, love all of the burger puns.  “Baby You Can Chive My Car” is probably my favourite, but “If Looks Could Kale” is pretty great too!

Season 1 is pure gold.

What’s got your geeky hearts racing this week?
